With a PhD in high energy physics and experience in industry both at a large company and as co-founder of a CERN technology driven start-up he is active as the ILO for CERN, the chair of the BigScience.NL network and the CERN ILO-forum. He is on the board of PERIIA, the PAN-European network of ILOs, a member of the AIPF and involved in the EU INPROCAP project aimed at innovation procurement. All activities focused on connecting industry with the Big Science community.
