Mark Johnson is currently responsible for Partnerships and Communication at the Institut Laue Langevin (ILL) having been Associate Director for the period 2016 – 2021. Following his doctorate in physics from the University of Nottingham (UK) in 1991 and a postdoc position at the University Grenoble Alpes (France), he joined ILL in 1995, initially as an instrument scientist and then as Head of Scientific Computing from 1999.
