Miles is the SKA Observatory’s Computing Infrastructure Lead. His role is to oversee the design and procurement of a number of ICT systems, in particular the supercomputers required to produce the Observatory’s data products for distribution to the SKA’s worldwide user community. His background is in quantum chemistry and prior to joining the SKA he worked in academia, government laboratories and the ICT industry.
