Elizabeth Pollitzer studied Biophysics, Information Science, and Computing. She is expert on gender issues in science, and director of Portia, an organisation dedicated to advancing gender equality in science. In 2011, she created the Gender Summit platform to examine research showing how gender issues affect quality of research outcomes. She is member of the Elsevier Inclusion and Diversity Board and of the Women in Fusion Advisory Board.
