Ketty Segatti is currently the Central Director for Special Functions related to Strategic Research and Innovation Projects of the Central Directorate for Work, Training, Education and Family of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. She is also the Managing Authority for the European Social Fund Operational Programme 2014-2020 and the European Social Fund Regional Programme Plus 2021-2027 of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. With a degree in Economics, she worked in local authorities from 1994 to 2006 and was responsible for the Economics and Finance sector of a Municipality in Friuli Venezia Giulia. In 2006, she started working in the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia as the Director of the Department for Research, Universities, and the Right to University Studies. Since 2015, she has been the Deputy Central Director of the Central Directorate for Labour, Training, Education, Equal Opportunities, Youth Policy, Research and Universities, with responsibility for the Education, Higher Education and Research Areas. Since September 2016 she has taken on additional responsibilities for Vocational Training and has also become the Managing Authority of the European Social Fund Regional Operational Programme 2014 – 2020 for the Region. Since August 2023, she has been the Central Director for special functions in the Central Directorate for Work, Training, Education and Family, with the role of coordinating strategic research and innovation projects. She is also the Central Director of the European Social Fund Plus Service and other Community funds of the same Central Directorate, acting as Managing Authority of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Programme of the European Social Fund Plus 2021-2027. Among the strategic projects she is coordinating in her new role are the “North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley”, the “Regional Ecosystem of Innovation in Life Sciences” and the “Big Science Business Forum 2024 – Trieste”, the latter as project manager.
