First Local Organizing Committee Meeting in Trieste, on the road to BSBF2024

The Local Organizing Committee is at the forefront of the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF), aiming to establish a streamlined European platform for businesses and organizations in the big science sector. With previous successful editions in Copenhagen and Granada, the BSBF has attracted over 1,000 delegates, featuring 200+ companies and facilitating numerous B2B and B2C meetings, and the Trieste LOC has assembled a diverse group of experts and leaders from multiple scientific instititutions and local organizations to face this challenge head on.

The local organizing team is headed by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia President Massimiliano Fedriga and coordinated by Paolo Acunzo, director of BSBF Trieste 2024, also representing ILO Network Italia and ENEA.

The scientific coordination of the event is managed by a team of Scientific Officers from members of and ILO Network Italia, a network made up of representatives from CNR, ENEA, INAF, INFN and the representative of CEI – central European Initiative.

Taking charge of Project Management is Ketty Segatti, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, coordinating the effort with the Professional Conference Organizer, TheOffice. Promotion and communication teams also includes the support of institutions like Promoturismo FVG, Unioncamere, Area Science Park, University of Trieste, the City of Trieste and Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
