The city of Trieste will host the forthcoming edition of the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) slated for October 2024. Recognized as a prominent international convention, the BSBF bridges the realms of research and industry. It primarily serves as an essential junction for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to collaborate closely with Europe’s leading Big Science Organizations, including CERN, ESA, ESO, ESS, ESRF, F4E, FAIR, ILL, XFEL, and SKAO.
The International Organizing Committee (IOC) is comprised of designated representatives from the aforementioned Big Science Organizations, together with different groups of national Industrial Liaison Officers (ILO) collaborates, all under the adept coordination of the local organizing team, called BSBF Trieste 2024.

On the 18th of April, 2023, the IOC convened its inaugural meeting in Rome. During this gathering, they finalized the general program for the BSBF 2024. The next meeting is set to be held at the end of September on location in the Trieste Convention Center, where the city of Trieste will host the forum itself.
