Eva works at CERN since 1991 and is part of the Critical Systems Engineering team of the Access and Alarms group of the Engineering department. Eva has a degree in computing engineering from Universidad Politecnica of Madrid. She came to CERN in 1989 for her master’s degree project in the PS Accelerator control group. After working for a year in Madrid in the Telecom Research & Development she was offered the chance to come back to CERN with a fellowship. Her role is to manage tenders and the supply contracts for personnel safety and alarms systems as well as ensuring their successful installation and commissioning. Eva currently leads the Emergency Call System project as well as the LHC Evacuation system renovation. She also acts as the Technical Contract manager of several supply and service contracts. Eva is the knowledge transfer link person for the Engineering department.
