Prof. Dr. Hamid Aït Abderrahim is General Manager of MYRRHA since 1 July 2022 after having held the position of Deputy Director-General of SCK CEN (the Belgian nuclear research center) from July 2010 till June 2022. Since 1998, he is the director of the MYRRHA project, an accelerator driven system (ADS). He lectures reactor physics and nuclear engineering at the “Université Catholique de Louvain” . He is member of various scientific councils or research organisations or international institutes such as: Member of the Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Energy (SAGNE) to Director-General of IAEA; Member of the Scientific Council of EDF and Member of the International Advisory Committee of J-PARC (Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex).
