Jeremy is the SKA Observatory’s Project Manager for Networks & Computing. His role is to deliver networking and computing hardware for the construction programme of the SKAO Mid and Low frequency radio telescope arrays based in South Africa and Australia respectively. This includes the non-science data network, backhaul network, several computing platforms, cabling and connectivity in the Central Processing Facilities co-located with the telescopes, and the science data handling and processing in the Science Processing Centres in Perth and Cape Town. His background is in Climate and Oceanography Research support and he has experience at South Africa’s Centre for High Performance Computing, and as part of the delivery team of South Africa’s MeerKAT Radio Telescope Science Data Processing construction.
