Mónica Martínez López is a Physicist with postgraduate studies in Material Science and Engineering. During the last 20 years she has been working in the fields of material characterization, superconductivity and cryogenics. She has spent half her career in Germany working in the private and public research sector and joined Fusion for Energy in 2017 in Cadarache, France, where she has been working intensively in the manufacturing and testing of the Poloidal Field Coils of ITER fusion reactor for which she is the Technical Responsible Officer since 2021.
