Mirko Menninga is since 2018 the Head of Supply, Procurement and Logistics at the European Spallation Source ERIC in Lund, Sweden. He has more than 25 years of experience in global strategic purchasing, contracting and pricing in various sectors (defense, humanitarian, health and research). The main focus in his work is to develop the procurement and logistics function at ESS. Being a greenfield organisation, this includes organisational development as well as the development of all related processes, policies and procedures.
