Claire is Head of the Science and Exploration Contracts Division at the European Space Agency (ESA). Trained as a lawyer in France (Toulouse and Post-grad in International Commercial Law – Tours) with a specialization also gained in the US (LL.M. in Transnational Business Practice – Sacramento), she started her career as legal advisor in a French Development Bank in charge of Financing both public and private sectors of developing countries. She joined ESA in 2002 and, since then has been responsible for performing or overseeing a full array of procurements to be carried out from early phases studies, R&D to Spacecraft Developments. In current position since 2014, she is deeply committed to supporting the European industry for the enhancement of the space sector.
