Diego Bettoni is an experimental nuclear and particle physicist. He has done research at major international laboratories: CERN in Geneva, Fermilab and SLAC in the USA, FAIR/GSI in Germany, BESIII in Beijing. He is co-author of over 600 scientific publications. During his career he has held various institutional roles within INFN (the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics). He is currently member of the INFN Executive Board, where he follows the activities in the fields of Nuclear Physics, Particle Accelerators (including applications to nuclear fusion) and computing.
