Giorgio Paolucci, is a physics graduate from the Sapienza University of Rome. He has had a career in surface science and Synchrotron Radiation. He contributed to the the Elettra synchrotron, where he developed the SuperESCA beamline, and where he had several management roles. GP served as SESAME’s Scientific Director and currently is Elettra’s Chief Scientific Officer. He has published over 140 articles and supervised numerous students.
