Martin Dommach studied Physics Engineering in Lübeck, Germany. He then took a position as a beamline engineer at DESY, where he was in charge of designing a beamline at the PETRA3 storage ring. Since 2011, he has been working at the European XFEL, where he currently leads the vacuum group.
