Roberto Rinaldesi obtained a master degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy). From 2006 to 2012 he worked as a project and design engineer for a manufacturer of overhead cranes specialized in custom equipment working in harsh conditions. He joined the Handling Engineering group at CERN in 2012, where he is responsible in the preliminary design and procurement of handling and hoisting equipment for new infrastructures.
